- Have some sort of existing audience. (It doesn't need to be huge, but you shouldn't be starting totally from scratch.)
- Have an existing catalogue of music. (You need to have enough music in the world that people could look at it and go, "Ah, I get what they're doing.")
- Are currently creating music. (You don't need to be releasing a song per month, but if you haven't released in 5 years, this probably isn't for you.)
