Content Strategist Application

High-level info

This is a remote, contracted position. You could do it from anywhere. I expect it'll take 5ish hours per week, although it'll depend on how fast you edit videos and how rambly my videos are.
Payment will be $1,000 / month.

Main responsibilities

I'm looking for somebody to:
1) Edit and post 2-4 videos per month to YouTube -- Includes thumbnail creation, metadata optimization, etc.
2) Create shorts from each YouTube video and post them to Instagram -- Includes captions, stills, etc.
3) Post 2 newsletters per week to Substack. -- Includes adding titles, formatting, selecting images, etc.
Basically, the point of this position is to 1) help Two Story Media make great YouTube videos and 2) post our content across YouTube, Instagram, and SubStack in formats that are designed to fit each platform – so that we reach more people.

Automation / a little bit of a rant

I'm aware that much of this work can be automated, but I like working with humans.
That said, if you're the type of person who wants to automate what you do: I'm okay with having content distribution automated (i.e., posting the newsletter -> Substack), and I'm open to the idea of having clipping for shorts automated. But if any content becomes AI-ish – this is difficult to define but easy to recognize – I'd consider that bad. To give a few examples: I'm fine with AI posting my human-written newsletter to Substack, but I don't want it to add an AI-sounding title to the piece. I'm open to using AI to create thumbnails, but if they look like uncanny-valley slop, that's bad. I'm open to shorts being automatically generated, but if they have weird cuts that don't quite make sense or a bunch of emoji-capitions that are over-literal, that's lame.
Final note on this: I want a human to edit the YouTube videos.

Additional things

- If you've followed TSM (read our essays or watched our videos), that's a big plus for me. - If you have a portfolio of work, I'd love to see it. - Elite color-grading skills would be sick.
